Hi All,

need help before I go mad, my punto 2003 reg wont start, i have no electrics on my dash , the fan works and interior light , when i turn the key it turnover but that's it ,had my new and old battery checked today and both good so it wasn't that's , it originally started as if i used the windows the power would die and steering light would come on, but recently when i drove somewhere i would have no electrics then it would come on , no hazards lights etc, anybody had the same problems that could help please

Check the earthing points. Also, I presume the code light isn't on the dash ... ie. the immobiliser hasn't kicked in somehow?

No dash - but crabks means battery is good but there is no ecu talk!

There is a tiny earth that bolts ontop of the throttle body - loss of that earth can cause weird issues

Also check all fuses
As there a possibility a ecu fuse has popped - as the key in the run position is like a low feed to the starter solenoid

So an ignition fuse may have also popped

check the power cables that comes from alternator to starter then to the connection in auxiliary fuse box behind the battery carefully
