Good morning ladies and gentlemen, I’m strongly considering buying a 1990 fiat uno turbo I.e. , a friend had one in the 90’s and I absolutely loved it.
I know these a getting very thin on the ground nowadays and that good examples will be hard to find so I’m wondering what I should be looking out for when looking at one ? How much is a fair price for one in good condition?
Many thanks

Hi,

my main advice is to buy on condition. An original car as possible would be best, but if your into modified examples then I'm sure you may find one.

Check the rear suspension turrets for rust, as well as the sills. And inside the sills where the floor pan meets the inner sill. Front subframes, check for rust or signs of accident damage. As it might of been the wrong side of a hedge or two! so be vigilant.

Projects tend to command a bit of money these days, so anything £600-£1500 would be about right.

Road worthy cars seem to go from £2,500 upwards, I've seen some advertised at over £7,000 before now!

Hope you find a good one, and enjoy it!
