hey everyone im naomi... i have a fiat punto mk2...
ive really wanted to put a new induction kit on but not sure what sort i actually need... tried changing one today but apparently its the wrong one? if anyone could help i would really appreciate it :)

There is 2 kits thats suggested

A gsr kit - expensive and getting rare, only one known to actually give a small gain

The ford focus kit - fits with a homemade bracket - purely induction noise
Nothing else

I've seen a few "Ram air" kits about, the punto rally car someone posted had those fitted. Are they not worth considering?

I'm assuming they wouldn't do much performance, but would they still give a noise improvement?

If by 'ram air' you mean the ones where the filter sits on the throttle body, and a pipe sends cold air to it from the bumper (K&N 57i springs to mind), they are rubbish. Noise will be fine but the amount of hot air it will suck in is likely to hamper performance.

IMO your best option is to get appropriate silicon joiners, aluminium pipes and a filter from somewhere like Viper Performance, or ASH (auto silicon hoses) on ebay.
