Hi, just wondering if anyone has experienced a similar problem? Driving along this morning and my dashboard lights suddenly went off, then I discovered that my indicators weren't working, the headlights and break lights do still work, but nothing else. Had the fuse checked and they're fine, took it to a garage and the mechanic basically said he hasn't got a clue. Anyone have any idea what the issue could be? Only had the car 2 weeks! Also, the stereo isn't factory fitted, so can this be part of the problem? Of I use the radio, the engine cuts out when sat at lights. Thanks

Bit of a long shot, but I seem to recall a similar problem on our Cabrio many years ago. The speedo and rev counter also stopped working as did the front windows. Turned out to be a fault with the ignition switch which was resolved by wiggling the connector until everything worked, then holding it in place with a cable tie. A bit of a bodge, but that cable tie is still doing its job many years later.
