Smile Yay! I now own a 1991 Murvi conversion :)

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and it all looks a bit complicated trying to find the information I'm after so please forgive me - I'm sure it's all here somewhere, I just can't find it yet!

I am now the proud owner of a 1991 Ducato 10 camper van conversion - it's English registered and right hand drive, but when I google it, it looks like it should be a Talbot Express at that age in the UK....? I want to buy parts for it to pass its controle technique so need to find a supplier that will deliver to France and I also need to know that I'm buying the right parts for the right model... it doesn't seem clear on the registration document and I need some help please... hope these photos come out!

Am in need of headlights, silencer and body panels if that's possible as it's a bit of a rust bucket (but I love it!). All help gratefully received!

Thanks,

Anna

Hello Anna. Welcome to the forum congratulations on your camper.

Just ask questions and if someone knows they will reply.

Mervi are still making campers, they may be able to help with any problems.

This article may also help with finding parts and what bits of the van to pay particular attention to.

Nice van, congratulations. Very unusal sliding door window did they just fill up the gap with sealant or is there a rubber cut to fit?

Thank you jontee61,

So it could be a Talbot with a Fiat badge? I will contact the owners club, am sure they can point me in the right direction! Have a good weekend

Thank you corcai,

And yes, it's a proper (and huge!) window, which is just as well because living in France I really need to be able to see to the left at junctions etc!! Now to get her on the road....

Re: Yay! I now own a 1991 Murvi conversion :)

Fantastic! I've been looking for a fellow-owner. Mine is slightly different but slightly similar! I'm in Somerset - see my pics here https://www.fiatforum.com/ducato/452...o-1400-td.html - mine is August 1992, bit of a pain with rust & broken bits, new head, gearbox rebuild, etc., but I just spoke to the Murvi chap & he says some trim is still available.
