Hi i have a fiat idea 1.3 multijet light came on before christmas and i got a new egr installed drove about 3 months and light has come on again car is running great except for smoke out of exhaust when starting engine will it pass m.o.t what should i do thanks for your help

Go back to garage that fitted egr valve as it should have 12 months warranty. You shouldn't have to pay anything if egr has failed in such short time.
If not egr garage should be able to tell you why fault light on, you should expect to pay for this if not egr fault.
