I'm new on here and hoping someone can help me before I get ripped off by my Fiat dealership! 3 warning lights have come on - one is the stop/start off indicator, another is the triangle with the ! in it, and the last is the engine light. Any ideas what the problem could be?? Thanks

Yup, you have an engine sensor issue that then stops the other parts working.

I just checked the mileage to make sure it wasn't my old car.

If it's not under warranty you can go anywhere have the fault codes read by someone with the right Fiat compatible equipment rather than generic readers though even those can give some idea in some cases once you have an idea what's up decided how to get it sorted?
Is there any running issues or does it drive "normally"?

I've had warning lights including the engine management. Mine was an open sensor on the exhaust, the DPF temperature sensor. the car runs fine without it but the sensor will need replacing and then the error needs clearing. If you're in the Notts/Derby area try Autowave in Long eaton, they will do you a quick diagnostic.

I had the same thing happen twice to my partner's 500 shortly after being serviced.
Fault codes came up with many possible faults and her mechanic did not have a clue what was wrong with the car.
The fly by wire accelerator pedal would not work when it happened.
This was due to information sent from the gearbox TCM cutting the 5.7 volts off to the accelerator fly by wire unit.
This is a safety system fitted so if the TCM is not happy on come all the lights.
If the wheels on your 500 spin on gravel, ice or mud the safety system will think you are out of control and the TCM will take over control of the car.
