Hi everyone just joined this site this evening hoping to find out about the 500L Trekker as I am really keen on buying one , so please if you have any info on this model good or bad please let me know....:)

Hi I've got the 1.3 diesel version getting 49.6 mpg loads of room for family fun to drive

I've got the 1.4 petrol. Feels a bit underpowered at times, and I have to change from 6 to 5 on the motorway to overtake.

The space is good and it feels like a smaller car to drive. Visibility is ok and it's quite comfortable for long journeys.

i have both 500 pop and trekker.. okay it nice a spacious.. ecu lights come on all the time and the oil light and you have to bring it t a a main dealer to get the light off or reset . if you dont the power cuts back in the car until bascially it says ..Do NOT DRIVE

I am a driving instructor and take good care of my cars... serviced yearly other than manual of less than 24 months. or less than 35 kms.

if i had know this prior to buying ...i would NOT have bought the car. even if you service the car yourself the ecu does NOT know this and the lights still have to be turned off.

restricts performance...needs a 6th gear for 1.3 multijet diesel and does lack power.

looks fab but its very annoying.

i love my 500 pop and thats no problem with light reset.(peddle Pump):bang:

Most modern cars are tge same on the service interval reset. But spend a few quid on some cables and download multiecuscan and you can reset the service intervals, i think even the free version can do it but its only about £50 for full licence.
My 1.3 multijet has never once had the engine management light or any other warning lights come on other than service due, that they have for you would suggest there is an underlying problem really tbh. Have you ever actually read the codes to see what it thinks is wrong??

I have a 1.6 diesel and I'm chuffed with it. It goes like a train has plenty of space and looks the part. Only had it a few months so no problems so far.

As a driving instructor you must do a lot of miles! so yearly service would not be the way. I am a delivery driver and i have mine serviced every 12k mine is the 1.3 diesel auto trekking also. Cheers

I have the 1.3 trekking diesel auto. it's got plenty go in it. keeps up with most average cars on the road. gear change is really quick in the eco mode but in that mode it does a lot of pulling away in 2nd. take it out of eco mode and boy does it shift!! fuel economy stop and start 30 times a night is average 40 on the motorway about 56 so not bad. it does need the 6th gear that comes on the Qubo. If I was to buy a brand new I would opt for the 95bhp engine with the 6 speed auto
