Hi,

Joined this forum as there doesn't seem to be a Seat Marbella forum & believe the Classic Panda is interchangable as the Seat & the Fiat share similar parts.

Already obtained parts from Ricambio International so I know this is the case. Although l've become increasingly dispondant from lack of response from suppliers both Fiat & Seat. So as a last resort to see if anyone can help decided to post here.
The problem I need to address is a broken drivers side leaf spring. Has anyone else had the same problem? Can anyone advise?
The car a Seat Marbella 1990 is in otherwise good condition with only 33k on the clock, it would be sad to have to scrap.
Desperate for help:(

Hi I used to work for Seat in the 90's and have a box of genuine parts such as belts, filters, electrical stuff etc for Marbella and the old System Porsche Ibiza. I never knew these cars were still on the road. I always fancied a Terra van or the Marbella Denim version. Good luck on sourcing parts, would be shame to see this car go to scrap

if all else fails i know that panda 4x4 leaf springs fit..
i think i have a leaf spring somewhere but one of the leafs has snapped, the main one is still good though (the panda 4x4 has 3 layers of leaf spring in one spring).. i dont know if you could take off the smaller leafs and just use the single long one...

nope:cry:

Since the 4x2 panda leafspring is attached "under" the rear axle, and in 4x4 over the axle the spring camber is different, 4x4 one is flatter and 4x2 more like banana:D there are also other differences like additional friction = additional damping action of 3 leaf 4x4 one , not present in single leaf unit. Can't mix them I am affraid.
