Hello just bought a 1996 tdi 1.9 ducato motorhome. had a major breakdown on the M2o which resulted in a tow home. Garage said the turbo had failed and sucked the oils out the sump and started to run on it own oil. they replaced the turbo, flushed the oil and ran it up. however there is now exhaust gasses coming out of the crank breather hose which connects near the air filter. This is all becoming very costly as they now say an engine strip is required because they don't know why it doing it.

Any help would be appreciated

thanks

Hi, and welcome to FF, :)
sorry to hear this - how many miles have YOU put on the vehicle..??

and how many does odometer say it's covered in total,

TBH any 1.9 in a camper will work HARD,
but your issues do sound a little unusual..,

:confused:what kind of garage are doing the work..,
FIAT / Diesel specialists..??

Hi, it was after a 40 mile trip and the van has 90k on the clock, the garage arnt main dealer or diesel specialist but seem quite competent. just been reading what are our thoughts on egr valve and exhaust blocked?
