Hi all,

First post on this forum.

im looking for a little help advice on two queries please,

1- when i use the front wipers on intermittent setting, on the return it struggles and stutters( when on the other 2 settings its no issues), ive have the panel off above the motor and it seems to move freely enough, has this happened to anyone before?? would it be the relay or motor???

2- there is an oil hose below the filter that goes into the top of the engine, are these hoses normally jubilee clipped on or free fitting as mine are currently free fitting and thought this was bizarre.

any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

T :D

for wipers its probaby that grease covered motor and pins arent making good contant anymore on slow setting and starts to judder, open motor and wipe excess grease
more here

see that round metal thing, thats what you need to wipe clean

these two pins are sliding on metal thing above and if to much grease is there = no contact

Magic thanks, it'll be 5days before I can try as now away working.

As for the breather hose yep that's the one, reason I asked as yesterday there seemed to be oil from there running down the back of the enging.

Many thanks.

Apart from the other, very apt suggestions made, try really cleaning you windsreen in the wiper zone (and wiper blades with meths or Isopropil alcohol) and then treat the glass with RainX. Follow the instructions absolutely.

Hey up flisko, both jobs now complete. The wiper motor was caked in grease, wipe off, cleaned up and working a treat. Thanks.

Wiping the grease away worked for me on my 2011 Fiat 500. Thanks for the advice.

Another problem with this grease is it can sometimes solidify, used to have a Seicento sporting and the rear wiper struggled to move (and the Sei really needed the rear wiper in wet conditions)...
Took rear motor off and looked inside grease was a solid block, cleaned it put in new grease and it worked perfectly.
