Just bought the Mr's a 500 on an 08 plate - 1.4 16V lounge wit 55K on the clock.
Am quite handy with a view to do most things myself.
The motor has full service history although no one has put in the service book when the cambelt was changed and there is no where in the service book to log this on its own.
Have called all the garages who carried out the service in years 3, 4 & 5 although no one can confirm if this was done or not!
Gonna bite the bullet and replace it anyways along with the water pump as will be 8 years old next march (surely it cant be the original belt?).
Looks pretty straight forward with the locking tools (have changed the belt on a 2.0l zetec previously) although wanna make sure i buy the right one.
Can anyone confirm if this is the correct tool?

Know this will defo lock the 8v but not too sure about the 16v?
