Hi, we are due to take delivery of the OH's new Vintage 57 1.2 in a couple of weeks, and just want to say what a great site the Fiat Forum is!

First time Fiat owners, so I am sure that this site will be invaluable for those bits of knowledge the dealer doesn't know!

Welcome to the FF, there is a wealth of knowledge here and feel free to tap in to it:D

I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to buy one of these so can you post pics when you get it. Lovely choice of car

Will do, she thinks she is getting a 1.2 Lounge as we initially couldn't find a Vintage in the right colour (or so she thought!)

So when we go to collect it she is going to get a surprise....and a few brownie point for me!

Alloha! That means there'll be 3 '57s on here . :slayer:

4 with JML as well.

What colour are you going for?

Here is mine...:D

Your new Car is a lot more than just a new set of wheels. It is something with which you will associate with everlasting beautiful memories. Congratulations

Just a quick question for the owners of vintage 57's, can anyone tell me if they have locking wheel nuts fitted as standard? We pick ours up in a week and hate anybody else to get designs on our wheels!

Everyone will have designs on your wheels. I live in fear of mine being taken!!

It is the one feature of the vintage that everyone comments on.

The first week I had mine a random bloke in a car park was admiring them. Only yesterday our builder commented on how nice they are :)

I wonder what the chances of actually buying them, are, Ie if one should get damaged, and at what cost.

Well after a slighty delay....Elsa has eventually arrived (if you have a 4 year old Daughter...you'll understand!!)

We picked her up from Arnold Clark in Oldbury at the weekend, after a 3 hour trip from Essex.

I have to say that AC seem to sometimes get a rough ride on various forums, but the was the first time we have dealt with them and I have to give them nothing but praise.

I ordered the car as a surprise for my OH, who actually thought she was getting a Lounge model as all our local dealers couldn't supply a Vintage in Volare Blue (not a problem if we wanted another colour)

The whole transaction was dealt with by email, and did not even speak too the salesman until we arrived at the dealership for collection. My OH had never even driven a 500!

We arrived to find a car undercover, and the salesman (who knew that a Vintage model was a surprise) kept the illusion that it was a Lounge going while he took us through some of the paperwork.

Then we went outside to the mystery car, and with the help of our 4 year old Daughter....Elsa was revealed! To the complete confusion of the OH with plenty of pictures taken by one of the dealership team.

Like I said, our experience of AC was flawless and having previously worked in vehicle sales & general management for over 20 years, I do know firsthand, that this is not always the case!!

So, to the car! I could tell by the big beaming grin on both my girls' faces, that Elsa was a hit! My OH now had a couple of hours to get used to her new baby, while we drove part way home.

Next day I was allowed a drive! and I have to say that, providing you keep the revs up and the gears matching, the 1.2 is not a bad engine (I ideally wanted a Twin Air, but given the timescales I was lucky just to get the correct model/colour combo)

As others have already said, she get load of admiring glances...and everyone talks about the wheels!!

We have only one issue, the Blue&me/TomTom pairing doesn't seem to want to happen. I am researching this on this site and the web, but so far no real progress. Anyone else have an issue pairing B&M with TT?
