Hello! I am a newbie to this forum. I thought it would be a good idea to join here before taking delivery of a new 500 Vintage 57 model (UK), due in a few weeks! I'm thrilled and excited, but I have never owned a Fiat. Having heard that they are terrific but quirky, I thought I should join the community to learn and share. Thanks in advance for accepting another beginner here.

Hi and welcome. I'm a newbie too having had my Volare Blue 1.2 Vintage 57 for about a month. YoStumpy is also awaiting delivery of a smooth mint TA

Which engine/colour have you gone for?

Welcome JML. My 500 is the first Fiat I've had in years, and after 4 years has been fault free. However, if you spend time on this forum you'll see that there are a few problems that lots of people have experienced. In general, they are not too expensive to fix if you can do it yourself or get a good independent garage to do it. Be careful of using a main dealer after the warranty, as they seem expensive. In general I think it's a reliable little car, but Fiat customer services have a bad reputation.

Thanks for the welcome! I have ordered a Tech House Grey with the .9 Twin Air engine.

Thanks for the welcome. I do have a terrific independent garage nearby, and it sounds like a I might be visiting him from time to time!

Still haven't got it yet! been working away in That France for 2 weeks, just got back, and am v.busy, plus need to offload the old Yaris. So will prob pick up 1/2 sept, after we've had the personalised reg number swoped over at the stealers. So it will be a Sept baby:slayer:

BTW Jules, anything fallen off yet?, and what about your mpg?

I'm not prepared to state that nothing has fallen off yet as it's just asking for trouble!!

I still haven't seen another Vintage on the road although my OH has seen a couple.
