Hi ade we have two Ideas in our family fleet my son's active which is somewhat battered but is fine for Uni and my rather posh eleganza (Half leather)
As for tips it is worthwhile de rusting the threads on the strut tops and covering as it will save time when you have a broken spring also find some way of covering the alternator as water drips on it from above which rots the alloy case leading to drama! If you have a 1.4 petrol the exhaust is available on ebay for a fraction of the price I was quoted for the back box (back box ets derby £250 ebay whole system £80!.
.Actually they are a great little car most parts are punto and cheap and there is little that can’t be fixed cheaply.
