Hi Everyone I've had a look though some of the posts and can see this is a Forum well worth joining.
Just got a van to convert to camper
Never owned a Fiat before but I really like the Ducato 2011+ 2.3 130 L3H2.
I am intending getting it Waxoyled first as it needs to last a long time.

Hi, welcome, excellent choice of van! We have converted a similar vintage swb ex minibus variant, very happy! Note that you can get a nearly full size 6 foot bed across the width in the space between the back section (head and feet over each wheel arch). I am 6 foot tall and can lie full out. So we have bench seats over each wheel arch and a table between which drops to make the bed. Keep meaning to post pics!

Thanks for the welcome and your van looks very neat Taffybloke.
I am looking forward to doing the conversion, I have done one before on my 98 transit which has lasted us 12 years but now has too many lace edges. So far I love the Fiat, can't quite believe its mine!

regards Dave

Good solid van's Dave. There are a few niggles the worst seems to be the windscreen scuttle letting rain water run over the engine and electrics and also the rear door top hinges can sieze and crack the door under the hinge.

Its worth looking at both to check.

The seat to the back is for our toddler. It is on quick release rails for moving out the way when we park up. The Base for her bed and cot mattress can be seen behind the driver. There is a sink with waste and water access that side door and a fridge. A 100W thin solar panel bonded to the roof and a battery keep it ticking over fine. Cheers!
