Hello everyone. Hope all are well. After years of admiring and dreaming of owning a Fiat 500. I am a week away from getting my lovely 2011 Lounge model "Florence" in shiny white. I am so excited ! I can't wait to get my hands on it and pootle and whiz about! I'm looking forward to getting to know all the controls and being able to bring my music with me! I'm about to go and rummage thru the threads and read all your posts!

Welcome and congratulations! I looked and looked - I wanted an odd color. Had my heart set on a burnt orange one that I found for sale locally. Came out, it was NOT local. No idea why it was advertised near me. The guy agreed to sell it, drove it 350 miles to sell it. Went to church and prayed about it. (He has children and dogs, didn't want them ruining the leather interior). After praying, he drove it 350 miles home and couldn't part with it! So I found the next best thing - Easter Egg Green! LOL.
Don't know how to post photos on here, but I'm sure you've seen them around.

Easter Egg green sounds cool. I'm not sure which green it is I will have to have a look. My friend has just had a mint green one which is cute.
I had my heart set on a dark grey one, but this one came up with very low miles and looked spotless so I threw my deposit at the salesman with gusto.
I wasn't even planning on changing my car to be honest but my trusty Peugeot 207s died a couple for weeks back with a waterlogged ECU, so I knew then it was time for a change. I only went to look and within fifteen mins had paid the deposit :-D
Am on countdown now! Mind you so is my daughter who has just been and got her provisional licence.. Gawd help us.

Hi and welcome

Mint green is the Easter Egg Green, I believe. The whole car reminds me of an Easter Egg, and that's about when I found it. It was advertised as manual trans, but I got an email from the dealer that it was actually automatic, so I ran - not walked - to get it. Aside from a couple issues (needed a new battery right away, even after mechanic checked it over. So far, so good (crossing fingers). I never enjoyed driving so much before. And it's paid for!

I've always liked white 500s - they just have a pure simplicity that goes well with the design. Most of the 500 colours are pastel (non-metallic) for that reason, I think.

It's always fun getting a new car but I think you'll particularly enjoy the 500 as it feels so different to most cars. I like its dials and its shiny dash panel. I like looking out at the side mirror and seeing the unique bulbous curves of the rear flanks. I like the way the front seats are effectively in the middle of the car - you're not sitting in the front, you're sitting in the middle! - which reminds me of a 2-seat convertible I had before (driving the 500 is of course a lot less fuss than a low 2-seater and feels really tall as well, much better visibility). Lots of other things I like too! Will be interesting to read about your 'likes'
