Hi everyone

I've been browsing the forums for a while for advice for my Panda and figured it's about time to introduce myself. The Panda's a 4x4 Climbing and she's the first car I've ever bought so I'm hoping to learn at least the basics of car mechanics on her and in the meantime she's doing fine service as my winter run-around. I'd driven lots of big 4wds before and still can't believe quite how good the Panda drives; we get a good few metres of snow here in the winter and she just eats it up.

A friend has given me an identical 4x4 for parts as it was in an accident. If anyone needs anything just ping me a message and I'll get back to you. It's a 54 4x4 Climbing 1.2 petrol and she'll be going to the great scrapyard in the sky otherwise as I'm moving house and she can't come with me.

See you on the road!

Chris

How kind! I need some bits and I have been waiting for a scrapper for that reason. I mainly need fittings for body panels...those star shaped bolts. I am happy pay your costs.

Hi cdmoran, can you post a pic of the ones you need, how many are you after?

There are a few missing, particularly on the underside of my front bumper, driver side door card, internal sill panel and the two boot panel fixings. The last mechanic was very sloppy and if he could get away with just pushing a panel back he did. I can send pics. I will need to do that over the weekend as I dont have access to the car. When are you scrapping the car?

The front end had an argument with an avalanche tunnel so no luck with the bumper; other bits should be fine. Scrapping it in about two weeks

Thanks varesecrazy. Can't work out how to post a pic thru the app I'm afraid but it's a rhd with yellow and grey interior. Full set of seats with matching front door trims available

If you can salvage any of these star screws/fixings...first two pics...greatly appreciated. Next pic is internal sill screw missing; the next is screws missing from boot handle...both needed. So fixings only which should keep postal costs down. I will repay your time and effort.

Sure I've got all of them. Are you in a hurry or can you wait til I'm in the UK? Probably mid June

Im not in a hurry. Whatever works best for you. Very much appreciated!

Cool; I'll either bring them in June then or send them back with someone in the meantime. Be in touch

Brilliant. I look forward to fixing my Panda with your kind offering!

Hi. Does the rear boot hatch open properly with the handle? Mine is virtually impossible to open these days unless you use the button on the key to open it.

Hi Wee Smurf

It did do before I dismantled it :) Having a problem getting the handle off at the moment though as one of the nuts is cross threaded. Going to have to slice it but the bread knife's not working...

That would be fantastic! I'm in no rush, so whenever you're ready, let me know how much I'll owe you. I can PayPal you the money.

Love your approach with the bread knife! Gave me a laugh.
