Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone out there knows how to reset the diesel fuel pump on a 500, it has been in a collision.

I just found this on eLearn for the 1.3 MJet 500.

I've no idea if it will work, but at least it won't cost you anything to try. Please report back, either way - it would be useful to know if it works.

Here goes:

Fuel cut off function

There is no inertia switch on this vehicle; the fuel cut off function is managed in accordance with the logic described below:

1) the Air Bag control unit detects the impact and transmits the activation of the FPS (Fire Prevention System) via the CAN

2) after having received the FPS activation signal, the Body Computer Node:

- activates the hazard signal

- switches the courtesy light on

- unlocks the doors

- transmits that the impact has taken place via the CAN (B and C)

3) the instrument panel signals that the fuel cut off function has intervened

4) the engine management control unit interrupts the supply of fuel.

Rearming

The following procedure should be carried out using the steering column switch unit lever to restore the correct of the vehicle

KEY OFF (starting condition)

KEY ON

Activation of right indicator

Deactivation of right indicator

Activation of left indicator

Deactivation of left indicator

Activation of right indicator

Deactivation of right indicator

Activation of left indicator

Deactivation of left indicator

KEY OFF

I have not been in an accident where the airbags deployed. The indicator for "fuel cut off" came on after hitting a curb at 40mph and I have not been able to manually reset it. Any suggestions as to how I should fix this?
