Hello,
I need your insights. I bought a thermostat for my Fiat Panda on Amazon (GATES TH16887G1) but it arrived without a gasket. I tried to find a gasket that is compatible (i.e. FACET 7.9503) but can't find any online. They all seems to be sold only with the thermostat.
Do you know a place ?
I am trying not to return the thermostat because it costed me 11 pound in "Postage & Packing".

Can you help ?

im pretty sure you can get away with just using "instant gasket". i have bought water pumps that didnt have a gasket..

however i always make one out of card and even then i put it between 2 layers of instant gasket..



been doing this for the past 10 years on things and no leaks yet on anything i have repaired

Agree with the other comments. But just to add having some gasket paper you can cut to shape yourself is a useful part of your toolkit for an older car when you are really stuck.

Main dealer, OEM gasket and thermostat (none of this rubbish thats flooding the market which will fail again after a year) is only £20-£25 inc VAT. I never bother taking the risk with other thermostats personally
