Hi all, looking for some advice. To cut a long story short I have just found out that my cam belt slipped, apparently a clip (?) holding it place broke causing it to slip and now valves/pistons/cylinder gasket and my turbo (and probably more) have been damaged, I'm looking at about £2k to get it fixed.
I have an extended warranty which I hope will pay out. However the cam belt was only changed 6 months ago, well before the required mileage, so surely this shouldn't happen? The garage who fitted the cam belt have the car at the moment.
Is it even worth repairing? It's a 58 plate and has done just over 60k, love it but it's been trouble since day 1!!
Thanks in advance, any comments or suggestions appreciated.
