The days of Fix It Again Tomorrow seem to be well behind Fiat now and the 500 had negligible mileage, 27,000 after 4 years. My commute is 35 miles each way and my land Rover gives 29 miles to a gallon of diesel whereas Enrico returns 62 - 68 depending on traffic conditions.

I have it 8 months and no issues so far; it's having its second service today at 65,000 kilometres (40,356 miles) including a fuel filter and I have been advised that the top-mounts on the front shock absorbers are worn.

This is a job I'll tackle myself rather than pay main dealer prices!

Pleased to hear that you are happy with the diesel version. I am waiting for delivery of a 500S diesel myself after making the mistake of buying a new 1.2 petrol which I have exchanged due to the now famous hill start problem.
I hope I will be as happy as you when it finally arrives!

I found the diesel to be a nicer drive than the petrol having driven both.

Mine is a 75 bhp but there is a 95 bhp available.

Very easy to surprise drivers of "bigger" cars with the diesel; it soldiers on and on and it seems like the acceleration is relentless.
