Hi there folks

I need your help!

I have read lots of posts on here in regards to getting to the DRL bulbs and after nearly losing all the skin on my knuckles im almost there.

The problem i now have is that the bulbs appear to be too big to get out. I have turned the holder so they are ready to come out but they seem too big.

I dont want to force them in case they either break of pull off and end up loose in the lens.

Any advice please as im about to look up how to remove the front bumper!

Thanks loads

They aren't too big otherwise they would not have gone in in the first place. I've spent many an hour swapping out these DRL's and fishing them out of the enclosure, to get the bulb out you have to turn it until the gap lines up with a little lip on the bulb fitting and it should pull out fine.

I lost skin the first time too (that came out wrong), some people can pop their wrists in and turn the holder and pop the bulb out, others struggle with the holder !! it seems the the holder may be partially turned giving you the feeling the bulb is stuck. The bulbs are definitely the right size and not the issue - unless some one cleaver has used the ship in bottle technique :)

I will try again tomorrow as the weather isnt being kind today! I have purchased some PIAA bulbs as from reading on here it seems as though LED's wont work regardless of whether they state they will on the advertising.

The wife has just had all the wheels refurbished as she wanted them gloss black so the lights are left for me to do.

Thanks for the reply and i will re post after my adventures in the wheel well !

Took the wheels off and it was much easier to manoeuvre the bulbs.

Also took advantage of the decent weather and fitted some LED footwell lighting wired to the interior lights so they all come on at the same time.

Sounds great, what's the price these days to have chips / scrapes removed from alloys ?

I am about to put the winter wheels / tyres on, have you considered the same and save the Gloss for spring to autumn use only ?

All four powder coated in black for £200 so not bad.

To be honest its the wifes car so i doubt she would be up for buying wheels to use in the winter only.

I dont change the wheels on my car and touch wood no issues in the last 2 winters.
