Hello. I am a new member. I own a 2012 Fiat 500 Pop Model. Every time I use the tire inflator, I need to replace the circuit's 20 amp fuse. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is this a problem that is covered by the warranty if I take the car to a Fiat dealer? Thanks.

Not experienced this, but it is worth asking the dealer to sort under warranty.

The tire inflator was supplied with the car, to use instead of a spare wheel. So it is part of the car and should be covered by the warranty. If the inflator uses too much power, then the car/inflator combination needs addressing, possibly with a different inflator. If the inflator is partially seized and using too much power, it should be replaced under warranty.

No harm in asking. Be prepared to argue firmly.

Can you find another owner and try his inflator to compare?

My 2013 500 Sport inflator did the fuse blowing thing. Took it back to the dealer and they swapped it out with one from another vehicle. The new one appears to work properly. Eventually I ended up buying the spare tire kit because I was not comfortable with relying on the inflator. Can't see the inflator being of much use if the puncture is big or the tire is damaged. Worth the peace of mind to me.
