Seicento Newbie on board. seicento S 2001

Hi Folks,
Newbie here. Just joined the ranks of Fiat owners after decades in Alfas and 7 years in Saabs. Bought a met red, steel wheeled, 2001 Seicento S 1.1 all 54BHP worth.....cheap commuting miles I am hoping.

Any advice on parts service and general preventative maintenance welcomed.

Indeed the car won't start after a period of being without use. Battery died. Assuming immobilsier cicked in and needs Pos and Neg terminals touching, a new battery fitting and if that doesn't do it, look at replacing the CPS....or am I way off?

Chassis number ZFA 18700000636647 for those that need such info

Any and all advice welcomed. Looking forward to utilising the value of your collective knowledge.
