Hello all,

I've just acquired a new to me 73 FIAT 128 2-door sedan that I am importing into the USA from Athens, Greece. It is a very clean, low mileage (50k), original, highly documented car that I am extremely excited about caring for and showing. I will not have possession of the car till the end of March as it will be out to sea headed to California for 31 - 35 days. I'd post pictures of it but I am not allowed to post URL's until I have at least 5 posts.

I look forward to being a member of this forum both absorbing and sharing what I can.

Welcome to the Fiat Forum............
I would be interested to see pics of your 128.............when it lands in the US.

I owned one in the late 70's...4 door 1116cc model.
I have fond memories of that 128 ( Car of the Year 1970)..........traded for a 128 Coupe which was very nice also,

And here is it's last day in Athens Greece. It will be in it's own 20' container and will be out at sea for 31 - 45 days. A long journey to California!

She looks superb........

Its looks strange to see a car with no trim in the boot(trunk).........but hey, that was 1970 something.
BTW. the tyre(tire) jack you have there, is so much better than those supplied
on Fiat's of today.

Engine bay could do with some items cleaned and painted, but the interior is very clean............
O'h.that radio, what a size!!!

Ian

Yes, the radio is some unit for sure and it's actually very special. It's called a RadioMarelli and was a very very rare factory item. It's cost was approximately 30% of the price of the car (shocking I know) so to say it is rare would be an understatement as nobody wanted to pay for them. As you probably know theses FIATs were purchased to get from A to B as cheaply as possible so the radio was virtually unheard of. I've got all the documentation that came with the radio also and feel fortunate the car still had it.

Although the engine bay is pretty clean it could use some minor attention. Some cleaning and painting will work wonders!

Sorry Tony, I am not at all interested in selling. Thank you for your interest though.

VFRMike.

It's finally made it across world and into my garage. It was worth the wait!
