hi everyone i have a 2004 punto 1.4 16v sporting bought it cheap £700 but has a problem with 3rd gear it crunches when trying to select it, sometimes it will go in but pops out so i guess its a new gearbox job i work on my own cars always im a self taught mechanic and can do a swap over no problem,
but the problem i have is that 1.4 6 speed gearboxes are hard to find and expensive so im wondering if a gearbox of a 1.2 6 speed sporting will fit or even a 5 speed box as these are cheaper.
any advice would be great at min im going from 2nd to 4th lol
