Hello!

I am a Honda driver and know nothing about Fiat. (need to find out more info I know I know..)

(Why I registard....)

I have a freind who owns a Fiat Palio and the heater is always on.

I understand how generaly car heaters work (hondas are very simple with a valve in the engine bay)

I found a post on this foum that stated, that replaceing the thermostat would solve the issue. (this makes no sence to me)

If anyone could please point me in the right direction. :)

Have a look at ePER on top of this page, to understand the heater controls.

Thanks! I think I need to visit the car again and get some pics and details.

Is this worth anything? I cant post links yet but hope this would solve the issue?

Hi,

Does anybody have a clue to this problem:

-the heating inside is always on, even when I put it to cool air, still warm air is coming out.

-less power at high RPM, it doesn't get past 140 km/h anymore
The temperature is pretty normal in the engine however. No overheating, only in trafic jams the arrow gets a little over the half.

Could it be the thermostate? Or is it something else? I also got a plugged injector last week but with injector cleaner this problem was tackled. Up to the next! Does anybody have a clue?

Thanks a lot,
Fedor

Hi Peter,

Well I changed the thermostate, no heating problems anymore! But the engine still lacks power. Also changed the spark plugs (it is running a little smoother) and considering the fact that the problem persists if I run on LPG (diffent injectors) the injectors cannot be the cause of this lack of power. I cant get it past 130-140 and it should go easily to 170-180. It clearly lacks power.

What can I try next? Any suggestions?

Fedor
