500 Start stop fiat 500

Hi just joined the forum because I wanted to know if anyone else has the same thing as me with the fiat 500 start stop system, does anyone know why the warning light (! In a triangle) with the start stop sign comes up on dash saying 'start stop unavailable'?? It just does it randomly and I don't know why?
I have read the handbook but it doesn't say anything about it in there :S

How long have you owned the car, how old is it, and how long has this been happening for?

Owned the car for about 5 weeks, it is a 2011 plate and it just does it now and again randomly :S

It is almost certainly the battery not being sufficiently charged.

The battery needs to be taken out and thoroughly charged using a modern charger. Driving it alone won't be enough. Your local Fiat dealer should know this. Have you spoken to them?
