Hi. I just joined the site. I live in Albuquerque.

I've got a 2004 Miata but I'm looking for a project and am considering a 1980 Spider with fuel injection. So, I thought I'd join the site. I've learned some helpful things already.

I've got concerns about the car, most notably that it won't shift into 4th.The interior needs work as does the pain. The top is shot although the frame looks okay. The seller says he rebuilt the engine about two years ago. It started right up, drove well (except for 4th) and braked nicely.

If I decide to make an offer I'll have someone look at it first. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

as you've probably seen we are mainly UK based , and centred on the post 1990 European FIAT models,

but I'm sure some on here are still capable of recalling their days with the Spiders,
