Just joined the forum and i need some advice, i purchased a 2004 dynamic last weekend its a 1.6 the car runs perfectly, however when driving the odometer is flashing on and off but is still recording the mileage correctly, does anybody know why this is happening. The car had a flat battery when i viewed it but started when jumped off a non running car, i have been told the fault may be with the battery but the car has been fine since it was jump started.

Has something been removed or added to the car?

Flashing mileage usually occurs if something has been added to the car that wasn't originally fitted at the factory, or something has been removed that was.

The Proxy Alignment procedure will usually cure it. The procedure can be carried out at a Fiat dealer with their Examiner machine or you can do it yourself with the registered version of Multiecuscan, a laptop and connecting lead.
