Hello everyone, thought I would stop in and say hi from Canada

I'm wondering also if anyone might be able to point me in the right direction. I am the proud new owner of a project 72 850 sport spider which is, as far as I know, a car that was originally sold in Germany and I am the third owner. The problem is, I would like this to be a reliable summer daily driver for me but i know very little about fiats. I am fluid in American vehicles and I dabble in the Asian market, but as far as Italian cars go, all i know is what I've read. I haven't had any experience on Italian cars until this one. Basically, if someone could point me towards a board or topic or something where I could ask some technical questions about this fiat, and if not get answers, at least bounce ideas off people and see if they are valid.

Cheers, Pat

Hi Pat,

I'm afraid your FIAT is a little too old for MOST on this forum,
but there are a fair few "older members" on here,
who can probably recall the basics, (y)

I would do google searches , etc for owners groups, etc,

Where are you in " frozen North"..??, I've been to Ontario, and Alberta,
Charlie

Hello Charlie, thanks for the response.

I am from Calgary, which is in Alberta. I was worried about this car wing a little to old to get any good info on though. I might just have to do this project blind and learn as I go along. Would you happen to have any idea for a parts source for me and this car?

AMCMechanic, I've only needed tune up items from regular parts stores, but you might look for a parts car at salvage yards or Craigslist. I don't expect to blow up my 903cc, but a Honda 2.2L might get stuffed in if it happens. I haven't checked it out completely. Good luck.
