Hi everbody, thought i woud give you a update on my 1.2 77000 miles Stilo so far,the car was sold as seen £375 drivers window not working and message on dash rear stop light out, sorted out the window with seconhand regulator and motor of ebay £15= p&p the regulator had totally gone, however when i try the open or close windows with the key trick, n/s window only goes half way down and the o/s window dropps to the bottom, any ideas?, also had some knocking suspension noises, and found o/s f spring broken and n/s/f anti roll bar link worn. The car was down on water and oil when i got it so did oil/and filter change, air filter and plugs, even did the pollen filter too;) Engine goes well, and replacing the arb link cured the knocking noises, i had convinced my self it was the rear axle bushes, but relieved when all is quiet again:) I noticed a small puddle of water under the car near the oil filter so thought it was the water pump, so had the cambelt and water pump changer for £120.00 labour i supplied the parts, and was a bit miffed to find the bloody water lek under the car after the work was done:confused: so took it back to the garage, and he put the car up on the ramp and found the metal pipe from the water pump to the heater hoses leaking, my local Fiat dealer lept the pipe in stock 24.00 so must be a common fault. So far all in all the car has cost me £850 including buying it 6 mts tax parts and labour mainly for the cambelt as i did not fancy doing it my self and a tenner to fit ite front spring, as i remover the leg myself. All in all still really impressed with the car, and hopefully the big neglected jobs out of the way will be able to enjoy the car for many miles, and a big thanks to the help and tips found on the forum, a great friendly bunch. carry on motoring alan
