Hi, I'm a new member of the Forum. I've just ordered a new 4x4. It's replacing a Nissan Patrol. The Panda would probably fit in the back of the Nissan! I owned two 500s in the 1960s. I will be posting a question re Underseal later.
Based in Macclesfield and just about to retire. I am not part exchanging the 13 year old Nissan, selling privately as I got a really good price on the Fiat.
Visited four dealers. Amazing lack of knowledge by salesman at a couple, rushed at one.

Hi 1Oll,

Welcome along!
There's a fair few now who have ordered the 4x4. Hope it doesn't take too long to arrive. What spec did you order?

I love those old nissan patrols, especially the swb ones.
Check the axle articulation on this!

I bet they're are a beast off road.
But the lwb was ridiculously huge!

You're right about some dealers not having a clue about their products. Amazing isn't it :bang:

Anyway, see you around,

Panda 4x4 spec.

I ordered the following at a really good discount.
Twin Air, White, side airbags, spare wheel, split seats, 3 rear belts/headrests, City Brake, leather steering. I fancied the winter pack but I had some experience of a heated screen on a Ford in the past and at the time struggled with the twinkling effects of oncoming headlights shining on the wires in the heated screen. The Fiat dealer didn't know if the one fitted to the 4x4 was similar or an improved version. I decided against it as I wear varifocal glasses and didn't want to risk the wires at the bottom of the screen being in focus.

The Nissan Patrol is the long wheelbase with seven seats. It's only done 55700 miles. Registered late 2000.
It's a great beast. Will be really sorry to see it go, its been the best car I have owned. But with retiring I thought a smaller car, but one that could travel anywhere would be sensible. Will be putting on the market soon.
Regards Brian.

Fiat hadn't supplied all the relevant info or brochures to the dealers I visited. Hard to order if no one is quite sure what's available. It probably too late to change anything now.

Hi - there were several days within which I could change the spec; I'd be surprised if this was not the case for any order.
Anyhow, great choice of car - the Nissan and the FIAT!

All sounds good (y)

If you wanted heated seats, you could get them as a separate option outside of the winter pack.

Unless they have changed it again, you can now only get the winter pack with screen & seats. Mum wanted the screen only but had to go for the pack as Fiat deleted the individual options a couple of days before she ordered! I think she will end up loving the heated seats but it's a bit annoying having to buy something as part of a pack just to get the screen :bang:
