Hi I just bought a second hand 500 and on the stereo it has an aux option but not sure where this would be. Have looked all round the car but unable to locate it. Any ideas where I could look. There are 2 compartments where the glove box is but I cant open. Any help is much appreciated.

The aux input would be next to the usb socket if the 500 is fairly new. If its not there then you will need to buy the relivent cables that plug into the back of the stereo and feed through the dash.

Is it a Pop model? Has it got steering wheel control buttons? If no to the second one, then it hasn't got Blue & Me, and the Aux socket is on the back of the stereo unit in the dash.

Yeah its a second hand 1.2 pop without blue and me. Can I change thw blank buttons on the stereo so the aux is fixed rather than a loose cable?

Those blank buttons are actually covers for the holes to insert the tools to take the stereo out. It might be best to wire a cable from back of the head unit, and then take it to a socket mounted in the centre console (where the blue and me USB/Aux socket is mounted, in the flat area behind the cup holders).

So a 3.5mm stereo jack plug to 3.5mm stereo socket wire is needed (say about a metre long). Then drill a small hole in the console to mount the socket, and run the wire into the back of the head unit.
