Hi Guys i am hoping you can help!!

i had a dead cell in my battery so i puchased a new one but since then my dashboard has all the warning signs(yellow triangle, power steering, battery symbol and a couple more) on and nothing else(speedo, fuel guage, temp guage etc).
is there a reason for this and more importantly is there a fix?

cheers

By the way the car runs fine and i have lights and indicators, radio interior lights just no dashboard readings but all the hazard lights remain on whilst i'm driving.

First thing I would check is that there are no 'stray' wires around the battery that should be connected. This could very well be an earthing problem.

While you are doing that.. Actually disconnect the negative lead,

Ideally.. leave it off for a couple of hours,
then re-attach the neg. lead and start car as normal,

Sometimes the electronics can get in a bit of a knot.. - not uncommon on the Stilo's.,

do the search in the STILO section too to see if it's been covered before,

let us know how it goes,

ok guys, had a look for loose wires but found none. Took the earth lead off for 3 hours but to no avail. :bang:
Any more ideas for my problem?

took the car to the garage today to see if my ECU needed resetting, BUT he says that he couldnt communicate with the car. He then tells me my dashboard is shot and that it is a common fault. Is he taking the pi## or is he telling the truth?

eazy.
