Isn't there any way of editing posts??

That's the HID's in, finally after persisting with them for 3 hours this afternoon I cracked it.

Tints on tomorrow morning so I'll put picks up when it's done!

Think you can only edit it within a certain amount of time buddy, I edited a post the other day but was literally after i'd posted it as I gave the wrong info! lol :bang:

Haha fair play man. Getting tints done just now. I'd post pictures but it's pissing down so will get some later if it brightens up!

Once more, can't edit the last post!

Got me back 3 windows all tinted, 50% on the back quarters and 80% on the rear. Debadged front grill, Eibach sport line spirings all round, dewipered rear window, TeamHeko wind deflectors, HID pure white front lights.

That's about it for now folks. The misses is getting me new leather with blue stitched gear and handbrake covers for inside. Then it's just a nice DAB stereo and possibly a speaker upgrade.

But that's gonna be it for the winter I'd reckon.

PS. Apologies for the **** contrast, was on my iPhone I'll need to dig out my old digicam for future pictures.

Another update for you guys. Got myself a Cupra R Splitter so looking to get that fitted tomorrow with any luck!

Cars looking great mate but good luck with the splitter, make sure you have a mate to help you bend the bastard to shape LOL. :D

Nah I'll shove 3 screws in the middle and wrestle with the ****er 'til it's all in. Pictures up later if it's not A) too dark or B) in 8 bits after I go postal on it

Well that was a nightmare. Need different self rappers before I try that again to be honest.

It sits low. Pretty low. Scrapes speed bumps unless taken really slowly.

My driveway is slightly inclined and the bottom of the bumper kisses the tarmac mate.

It does look good but it's a bit annoying at times.

Hi nice car my mk2 punto was the same colour.

Just a quick question how low is the car on the sportlines as i looked under my sporting earlier cause im thinking of getting some just woundered if there was any scrapin on speed bumps

Thanks

Sorry mate didnt mean to dislike your post!

Thanks for your reply. mine will scrape too then my drive has an incline. is the ride ok? or is it abit toooo sporty? (soory too change topic but I like how low you car sits)

I got Sportlines on but not the Street. I opted for the Pro kit so it's about 15-20mm higher than the Streets. The front wheels hit the arches during fast cornering and the rides a bit rougher. Pot holes (if u hit a massive one) are Bone shattering at speed.

With the Pro being a tad higher I can get 5 in the car and a packed boot and nothing rubs or makes weird noises though.

Hope that helps man.

Guys I'm thinking of getting my alloys refurbed cause they're knackered. Or do I get a new set? Problem is I dunno what suits.

Suggestions welcome!

Got basically the same car as you, colour/alloys, had mine refurbed in a BMW graphite which looks pretty tidy. Was worried they would look too dark, but well happy with them now.

Yeah I think with the beautiful Scottish weather, darker is better!(y)

Currently fitting the Cupra splitter, it's a total nightmare to do!

If I hadn't bought it prior to knowing how much of a **** it was to do I wouldn't of bothered.

Only half way through and it's took me about 2 hours so far. Nightmare!!

Edit: all done, actually hate it tbh, it'll be coming off in a few weeks, just doesn't look right imho

Lol, i've been toying with the idea of getting one but have heard many a horror story. Are you sure you've fitted it right? As i've never seen one fitted make the car look bad. So if you sell it does that mean all the hard work is done for someone wanting one.....lol :D

Getting both sides the same is basically impossible. I think I'll need to get it on a ramp and do it over again. The sides just don't want to budge and when u bend it the whole front wants to dip down it's just a total nightmare tbh. Needs adjusting at the near side but I was so pissed off with it I couldn't be arsed fighting with it after nearly 4 hours. Total bastard!! :-@
