I want to start out saying hello to everyone. Here's a little background on me. I'm from Michigan and am a lover of classic cars and enjoy restoring them. However, I have just jumped into a new area, FIATS! I just purchased a 1976 124 Spider with 85,000 miles and it's from Florida so it has zero rust. It has the 5 speed manual trans. It's been garage stored it's whole life and taken care of very well. I'm picking it up this weekend and it needs nothing. I paid $1,300. The interior is black and mint other than a crack in the dash. It has a black top and is Burgandy. Unfortunately it has been repainted and the original color was a bright blue. Here are a few of my questions. Did I get this car for a fair price and does anyone know what similar year/models go for? Also, are there any known problems to look out for on this year and model? How much did the repaint bring down the value of this car? I have attached the only picture I have of it right now. It is really dusty from sitting in the garage. Thanks so much for any help.
