Hi all.

Just picked up a Punto Grande 1.2 in black for my son (First car) although he hasn't even seen it as yet. He's in the army and based in Germany, but in London doing the Olympics.

Its an ideal car for him, and he wants ME (dad) to bling/mod it up a bit.

His list seems to be getting bigger by the day, but first of all I need to get him Alloys. then a stripe...........he also wants a subwoofer, but I may need to get a pro to do that :bang:

This forum has been a handy source of info, and I hope I can be of use at a later date. :worship:

After having the car for 2 weeks............progress sooo far. Tinted side and back. Up & over stripe. Painted calipers/drums, and alloys.

Looking nice, loving the calipers :)

When you did the calipers did you do one wheel at a time or did you put car on axle stands? If so where did you jack the car up from and where did you place the axle stands? Thanks

Please paint the drums black - trust me on this one.

Simple clean mods could be

de-badged front bumper
vinyl the bit inbetween the front grills
fit abarth style black headlights
de-badge the tailgate
possibly lower it on eibach sportlines
colour code the door handles
fit front fog lights

Used axle stands Sean.........and a hot air gun to quicken the drying. Ended up giving each corner 4 coats of Halfords Caliper paint. After wire brushing them to death, and painting some gel, that stops the rust.

Axle stands went under the bottom arm joint........well, it worked for me, but I still left 2 jacks either side just in case

i nearly painted them black.......but as its for a bit of a poser teenager..............i thought it had to be red.

My son and I have different ideas in regard to the mods.
Mine are jazz it up as much as poss.

His is............."I just want to connect my iPod now and annoy the neighbours" :D

As for lowering it. I would, but his insurance is bad enough just with alloy wheels and tinting:mad:

(y) thanks! Thinking if doing mine, just want to use axle stands to hold the car!
