hi hope someone can give me a quick answer to what might be a silly question ive just bought a pair of new shockers but the piston seems to be about an inch longer than the ones ive took off now the damn suppliers is shut till monday what i wanna no is can i put these slightly longer one in with the original springs etc dont really wanna try in fear of losing my valuable cash if anything get marked but i suspect im gonna have to wait till monday until shop opens up again any advice appreciated thanks

they both stripped down body is same just the lenth of the piston if thats what you call it is about an inch longer when fully extended

I don't think that is likely to be an issue. They are compressed in normal operation. If it was shorter, I might be a bit more concerned.

As long as the travel is sufficient, and the damping action is similar, I expect they will be Ok

thanks for that i will put em in tomorrow was just worried about how the springs would seat and didnt want to damage em trying and then losing me cash not being able to return them again cheers really appreciate it :worship::worship::worship::worship:

put longer shocks in today pain to get having to compress springs while on the car but few wrapped knuckles and a bit of blood and sweat and all done running fine again :):):):):):)cheers for advice
