Hi, wondered if anyone could help.
I have a fiat grande punto 06 reg that has decided not to start. The immobiliser light is staying on. At first I thought it was the battery but the radio and windows work fine. Had it tested by a mechanic who could not get into the system he needed to. Believe its one of a few things; ecu fault, immobiliser fault, dodgy cable or sensors. I am rubbish with cars and need some advice.
I am a student (mature) and dont have many pennies left lol Therefore a little advice would be great. Also helps when people come try tell me what it is - sorry to say but some people are rip offs!!! Had a bad experience with a mechanic before trying to tell me i needed loads doing and would cost me £300+VAT but when i went to another mechanic it was the fuel sump!!! haha. Anyway i am pretty desperate as I need to get to Uni by next Weds and its 40 miles away! :doh:
