Very new to this. I have a problem with my Doblo 1.9 JTD Multijet. Every now and then blue smoke comes out of the exhaust. If I switch off engine and immediatly start again the problem clears. The engine noise changes very slightly when fault appears and a very slight whine on audible from inside cab.I have a very high mileage on car and egr has been changed

im new to this forum, well i own a fiat doblo 1.9jtd 56 plate. if somone shine a light on to this or if it helps anyone.i had a probem with the car it smoked now n then which was black, loss of power wouldnt go over 50mph.engine failure displayed on dash and glow plug failure aswell,so i was told it was due to my cloged dpf filter.i advised to clean the engine out due to all soot built up cause of dpf failure.carried out work as follow took head off cleaned valves, skimmed head, new headgaskit, new glow plugs, cleaned egr valve which was cloged with soot, cleaned all pipes, replaced new turbo boost sensor, new timming kit, full service, new dpf euro flow make,
well starting the car back up started fine good tick over deleated all lights took car for a drive, drove well except few jerks, took car on motorway drove like bullet down hill when it came to uphill climb it went in a limp mode wont go above 50mph,problem problem again took the dpf off will not allow the pressure through could be faualty dpf drove about 100miles on it,well had the old one back on again with this it was clogged so we put hole in it about a size of a exhaust pipe, driven the car drove alot better than b4 no probs up or downhill speed, with no lights on dash, but few jerks n white smoke issue came up xamined one injector not doing its job, well now can somone help with this my mechanic tells me these injectors are coded so if i buy a new/second hand injector do i have to get these coded with my ecu, does anyone known who can do this in west yorkshire plz

Is your car old enough to have a DPF? You didn't mention the year but did say if had high mileage. A catalytic converter ready to fail will also give you some strange symptoms and will eventually keep the car from running at all.

Another place to look is the EGR valve and things like the mass airflow sensor and maybe a few others.
