The crankshaft will turn at the same speed on both engines. That is your reference point on any engine. Now you found the crank pulleys appear the same in size, it is the camshaft you have to worry about now and the ratio it is driven by the crank.
Also another issue it is likely to be the timing belt and water pump. I assume you want to use the 1108 belt. But, since the teeth are different, is a 1108 pump gonna fit on a 1368 block? is the belt long enough (the blocks I assume have different heights)?
If the answer is no, you could try the other way around. Keep the 1368 pump and crank pulley. but, are the camshaft pulleys the same size? Will a 1368 cam pulley fit on a 8V camshaft? and will a 1368 belt tension properly in these circumstances?
Loads of questions, not many answers, I know

You sir are a pain in the cheeks! Thank you for giving me something else to be paranoid about. ;)

Lucky the head didn't sell. I'll get the tape measure out when I get home from work. Although it shouldn't matter because the gear ratio of the 16V head is determined more by the interconnecting gears that drives both cam's than the main cam' pulley itself. I think they'll be the same because it would be less cost effective for Fiat to have different sized wheels. Worst case scenario I'll have to keep the 16v cam wheel just in case. ;)

The water pumps appear to be the same and if it's taller block it would be a case of taking a belt to my part slingers and get one a bit bigger-ish to make it fit.

Okay, different part numbers, different colours, different profiles but....

...they're both 115mm and have the same amount of teeth. (y)

I picked up a bit of Stainless Steel made into a pipe to use as a swirl pot or some other use and thought...

..."like J-Tuner innit bruv". :bang:

I have a weekend off. As well as the usual Uncle, brother, son and boyfriend duties I have to...

1/ Strip Guff I to make space for...
2/ Project Repo' I'm having to repossess the Seicento because the guy's decided to move house.
3/ More welding.
4/ Fit the Punto GT Cinquecento Sporting hybrid brakes to Guff II.
5/ More welding.
6/ Fit the seat properly-ish.
7/ Harnesses.
8/ Find space for all the stuff I'm storing in Guff I and parts I've removed.
9/ Get some money for the shell (£60 a Ton round here). :(
10/ Fix dads Corsa exhaust and replace the manifold gasket on my sister Daewoo Matiz.

Is it only me who have a strange filling that this pick-up panda is half size bigger then mine? or is the driver such a small person? or picture was photoshoped...

ps. look at the face of the driver - you can have smile like that only in panda's.

Good spot noticing it was Brooklands. I love the way the number plate has been MS Painted out but the number on the bonnet has been left. ;)

I can't do the conversion to my car as I'm six foot two and have already welded the cage in beyond the "B" pillars.

Hmmmm....

Glad to see it's still around! The attached pics are from about 4 years ago. The owner (think it was Chris but may be wrong) is a complete nutter in the nicest sense (and I'm sure he won't object to that!) and had converted it himself for farm duties. It's 2wd but ploughs through all the mud & so on to take straw up to the animals. The roof was folded down to make the pick-up deck (and very neat it was too), and at the time it was painted in finest Dulux gloss (no really  ).

Maybe when she's a little more stunning. I have to replace the grille, fix the lower doors and passenger side rear wheel arch. Also so knob jockey hit the car in my local co-op car park the other day so I have paint transfer on the bumper and a small dent in the wing next to the indicator to fix as well now. :(

Guff II

There were a few things I wanted to harvest from Guff I before the what's left is collected for scrap.

I cut the plate out of the Cinquecento floor so I can weld it into the Panda and use the cable gear linkages so I can have the newer five speed box. While the four speed has nice close ratios ideal for the quarter mile it is in effect a three speed gearbox as you don't need first once the engine has warmed up. My Fantasia four speed maxes out at about 85mph so I'd like to make Guff II capable of over 100mph in so track days are more entertaining.

The Pollycarbonate Cinquecento windows will also fit the Panda after a bit of trimming down...

...and is it just me or does this not look too bad?

It doesn't look that hard to fit either. Shame the back bumper's nowhere near. ;)

The Fantasia got a new steering wheel...

...and locking fuel cap...

...thanks to Guff. Although I'm still pretty miffed about it but the concept at least will live on.

Got to agree with vern..Each to their own and it's your car but it does not look right to me...plus holes in that rare interior if that's what you have done with that speaker set up...I would have given you speaker pods for free.

Bumper looks good though..

Well if you didn't like those speakers...

As the Repo'-cento took up most of my day yesterday, repairing and refitting the back bumper and taking the **** soaked passenger seat out so I could clean it with a pressure washer, upholstery shampoo, Vax and febreeze. I was offered a sub-box for an old stereo. Had to find some way of seeing if it worked so...

...old school mix tape on the way to work this morning. ;)

Still deciding weather to flog the sub box or keep it.

Oh yes, that's much better. :p

It was just to test it. ;)

It sounds pretty good up front. Reminds me of my old Suzuki Wagon R. It had a plastic basket under the front passenger seat. I mounted a sub in that. As well as making journeys for female passengers interesting it sounded much better with the bass going into the floor of the car instead of the boot. I don't know why people only put speakers in the back. You don't sit with your back turned to the stage when you go to a gig do you?
