Have just bought 2007 Fiat Panda from local Fiat dealer. I was given two keys with the car - one with remote, one standard key. I queried whether there should be two remotes - was told no. Is this correct?

Secondly, no code was given for emergancy startup or getting keys made. Was told that codes are not given out in UK in case a thief gets hold of the code and can make a key to fit the car. If I needed a new key, then I have to obtain from dealer for a cost. Is this correct? I would have thought the code and car should belong together.

The car itself is great - shame about this niggle with the keys.

Hello , have a search (punto section??),
it varies from dealer to dealer,
the cars are normally supplied with a CODE card from new,
but some charge BIG BUCKS for a replacement CODE card and others are @£15,
Charlie

We charge £65 for a working key for the Panda (none remote).
Just need the car and a working key and your wallet for 15mins.
Codes not needed for this.:)
