Hello all,
I have a Fiat 500 1.4 sport (Registered July 2009), now with private plates, lush! Several times after it has rained very heavily water has appeared on the rear nearside seat belt and when pulled out to use it drips on to the rear seat giving passengers a wet bum and causing condensation. I have taken it to the dealer and they have sprayed the car with a hose but been unable to replicate the problem, any idea's? I know its not a major issue but it blights an otherwise perfect car.
Premptive thanks to anyone who can help,
Di.

Hi Dis500 and welcome to the forum. I haven't heard of this particular problem before but I would imagine that it is a faulty rear window seal as I cannot think where else water would be able to get into the car at that point. The only other possibility is that the rear hatchback seal is faulty and water is somehow getting in that way.

The best way to check is to get the garage to remove the trim panel on that side and hopefully there might be a rusty trace where the water has entered. Also, where water enters isn't always the same place where it exits so with the panel removed you might be better able to trace the leak.

I would post this in the 500 section (see link below) as you will receive a lot more help from fellow 500 owners in there.
