Hey guys,
Joined up today to get some help from the more knowledgable guys that are around. Bought a pre owned 2008 grande punto a few weeks ago, has 35 000km on the clocks and in very good condition. Only problem I have with the car is that the fuel consumtion is not even close to what they recon it should be.
I struggle to average 8l/100km with extra urban driving. Urban driving is above the 10l/100km mark, also the power delivery is very flat until it hits around 2400rpm then I have huge lumps of power but as soon as I change gear it goes dead until I reach that 2400rpm mark again.
I read in one post about the egr(exhaust gas requlator), can this be my problem or is there another problem that can cause this.
I think this is a great forum and I will definetely be spending some more time here.
Thanks
Roelof
