:) Hello, I,ve owned a Stilo & Multipla for a yr and a half and had some good motoring.

Had a few bills, mainly servicing.

Just had the Stilo MOT'd this week and it needs an offside lower wishbone as the ball joint is worn. MOT station wants £190 !!!!!! of which is out of my range at the moment. I,ve ordered the part and should be with me Friday for fitment prior to Re-test on Saturday!!!

ANY advice on this job ASAP would be much appreciated. Anyone done this job before who could give me any tips as I am short on time and dont want to run short on tools etc at the wrong time.

If anyone wants some advice on living with a Multipla then I am more than happy to give you any advice I can. I,ve owned the 1.9JTD (Diesel) version and been very happy with it, although my wife really doesnt like driving it due to the width but loves being driven in it. It gets good MPG for such a large heavyish car too, 38mpg around town and upto 45mpg mixed with 60-70mph roads.

Anyway, I,m new and looking forward to getting involved with the site and its owners. Hopefully I,ll learn things and also hopefully I can help others.

Justin. :D

Hello and welcome, ball joint isnt that much of a job with the right tools.

Never done a wishbone tho.

You may get more response if you post in the right section.

Thist section is mainly for intruducing yourself so try it another section and see if you get any feedback.

Hi, Thanks for the reply Sniper!

Yes thought there would be a place for it, but just thought I would throw it out at the start as i gotta do the Wishbone tomorrow/today. I just hope the courier delivers it so I have time to get the job done.

Regarding the Ball Joint, apparently thats what it failed on but the garage (Kwik Fit) adviced that a new wishbone was fitted at £190. I dont know if the Ball Joint is a purchasable item seperately but I guess it must. However, I,ve ordered the Wishbone now so hope its not too big a job.

Wow your cars got some muscle. Bet it goes like stink. Take it that it has some wide rubber?! My brother had a Fiat Spyder yrs ago and it was pretty quick but from memory I think it had only 150BHP, so 250+ must be mental!!

Cheers, and maybe we will be in comms again in the future.

Justin.
