Hi,

Just bought a 1.2 punto MK2 today. Have a few things that i would like to do with her, to start of i am going to attempt to fit remote central locking, get some alloys for her and maybe have a look into replacing the interior blue seating or getting some covers for her, its a bit tatty.

Also getting her booked in to have her cam belt changed. She needs a service as she hasn't had one according to the handbook since 33000 miles, now at 62000. All in all i love the little city button, Parking is now mega easy and i'm surprised that she isn't really slow.

Any tips on any of the above is appreciated and look forward to enjoying my lil runner named Puto :D

Hi Welcome to the forum :)

Do you have a garage in mind? Can I recommend MotorMech in Birmingham, not too far?

I am getting the cam bet done by a friend of a friend. i buy the parts and he will fit them for a small fee. So will save money their. Thanks for the tip on the garage though, may come in useful for other things, but think me and my boyfriend are going to see if we can service it ourselves this summer, mainly because it hasn't got all its service stamps.

I had the wheel balancing and tracking done today, it was 9mm out and now is no longer dragging. But getting the wheel balanced hast solved the little vibrating feel on the seat. Anyone got any ideas or had similar problems to help me diagnose the problem.

Thanks for the welcome

Did you have the Rear tyres Balanced too?
Or just the fronts?

If a steering wheel shakes usually front balancing
In you feel it through the seat then its often the rear wheels been unbalanced

Ziggy

I had front and rear done. It is defiantly coming through the rear as I can feel it shaking on the seat. It is more obvious at slower speeds approx 30.

Are Fiat Punto's sensitive to the type of tyres on the car? some cars like specific tyres and can effect the drive if they have budget tyres on. Is this the case?

:)
