Hi all

Playing the waiting game for my Fiat 500 ordered in June, hopefully with me mid August
This will be my first new car and I'm really excited.

Lol just replied to you on the other thread but thought I'd say hello anyway :)
the countdown continues... (P.S. I AM waiting for 1st sept) x

The race is on as I see you ordered your car only two days before me. Will you be pleased to get yours early or will I be disappointed and have to wait til Sept. Time will tell

yea - ordered my Lounge on 27 June - so will have to wait till end Sept I guess. Was quoted 12-14 weeks for delivery. Feels like forever.

Been reading the forums - think I've made some mistakes ordering:

Added the electric sunroof, auto gearbox, climate control, 16" alloys. I also added the dealer fitted alarm @ 330 incl VAT. Reading the forums: the sunroof has problems, the auto gearbox is hit & miss, the climate control eats power from the engine (I got the 1.2 to pay £35 tax a year!) & the larger alloys make it a very bumpy ride. Oh, & it's in white, so will have rust spots on the tailgate. :bang:

After 10 days of placing the order, I wanted to add side strips (read that the car picks up dings quickly) & leather seats & Interscope hi-fi, but the salesperson said it's too late to add anything. Maybe I just got carried away with the extras...

Hope it all works when its delivered!

Ah it will! You chose those options because thats what you wanted, don't let other people worry you. Everyone has their own opinions.
I was looking at 16" wheels (they do look better) but couldn't warrant the extra £170. Like the ones on the 500C so may save up and upgrade to them when my 1st set of tyres need replacing.
The rust spot thing can happen to any car in transport, not just the white, and you'll be able to clean it off. Believe you can add the rub strips as a post manufacture can't you? Dealership should be able to do it for you.

Keep :)ing!

thanx for that! guess I'm suffering from buyer's remorse.

I had a fiat before- an Uno when I was a student. I hated it with a passion and did everything I could to make it break down. It would just keep going ( I think just to irritate me!) & I desperately wanted a reason to get rid of it. Rust ate it up in the end. You couldn't make a corgi car out of the bit of good metal that was left!

This is the only car on the market I could find with an automatic gearbox (albeit semi) & £35 a year tax. I'm planning on using the car to drive into London on the weekends for shopping, etc. Just can't face the traffic with a clutch.
