Red Keys. Just bought a 155hgt bravo with 2 blue keys.

Have been reading online that people can 'make a red key' off the ecu?

Blue keys are aparently copyable by a good key cutter; after all the thousands of forum pages devoted to this, has there EVER been a definitive answer;

Red keys; how much, where and how are these people cutting/programming them?????

Of the collective experience on here (blatantly all your fiats have RED Key)
Has anyone tried to find a bloke that can take data out of the immobiliser??????

Whats the cheapest way to get a key made (never ever going to a fiat showroom musical) A "this is where to get them from", or a " this is how it works" guide would be indespencible

This is more copy and paste but I read around and thought this was more relevant to your question. Hope this helps...

You usually get given 1 red and 2 blue keys... The 'Red Key' is linked to the 'CODE' immobiliser and I have heard that if you lose the key (or aren't supplied with one!) that you basically have to replace a large chunk of the wiring loom and is used to reprogram any new keys for the car immobiliser. The red key thing is only issue on older Fiats, if in doubt take a look at your blue key - if it has got a '2' stamped onto the metal part of it, it is the phase 2 system i.e. no red key needed.
